Finally morning came. We were taken back to the
airport and were put on a commercial flight on a Pan Am 707 jet which would
fly us to Okinawa. Once airborne I took one last picture of my last look at
Vietnam and then fell into a deep sleep. After leaving Okinawa I again
slept the entire 13 hour flight back to El Toro Marine Air Station. I
realized that this was the first time in a year that I could actually sleep
soundly and for more than just an hour or two.
